The Pepe Aguilar concert, An Unforgettable event.

Pepe Aguilar, who has not performed in Ensenada in four years, offered a spectacular concert on October 13, 2012 in Hotel Coral and Marina’s beautiful outdoor field, adjacent to the marina.
The doors opened at 5 o’clock and the concert featured an exquisite culinary pavilion where guests could find trays of sushi, paella, hamburgers, gourmet artisan breads, olives, fine cheeses, serrano ham, grilled marinated skewers and Portobello mushrooms. The pavilion also featured many drinks to choose from including beers, lattes, and regional wines.
Around 9pm the show began, the lights and mariachi notes started to play over the sound of the crowd and the first song, “100% Mexicano” brought immediate attention to the performers. There was a worm welcome and applause for Pepe Aguilar as he took the stage wearing a Mexican charro suit. Pepe sang “Me vas a extrañar”, “Por una mujer bonita” and “Perdoname”. After that he addressed the audience with a speech about his excitement to perform and be in Ensenada.
During his performance he devoted songs to lovers, beautiful women and especially to his father, Antonio Aguilar, whom is remembered by the song “El Rey”.
The show featured Mexican decorations as well as two beautiful dancers to compliment the tones and sounds of the concert. The combination of the mariachi band Zacatecano, the beautiful dancers and the special instruments such as the accordion made songs like “Chaparrita” unforgettable.
After two hours of performing, the mariachi band and Pepe said goodbye with the Mexican song “El gustito” and they were thanked with an applause and request for more songs by 3800 guests. A fireworks show and an extra hour of mariachi music officially ended the concert, but the festivities did not stop there. There was a delicious taquiza dinner in the restaurant and it was the perfect way to end the 2012 concert season at Hotel Coral and Marina, where the sea, stars, music and good food create unforgettable memories.
